Ideal for broodmares, young equines, and special care seniors

Our focus is in breeding, recreational riding, dressage and western/breed/performance.
- We have three different options available for boarding: pasture/loafing board, box stall board, or pony box stall/standing stall available.
- Included at no additional charge for all boarding packages: sunshine plus supplement, blue seal grains (incl. for those on pasture board), horse clothing. Worming is billed separtely.
Boarding rates are effective November 1, 2008.
TURNOUT:
 
- Horses enjoy the utmost of quality care with daily turnouts in post and rail paddocks (with highly visible wide electric tape for added safety).
- Hay and water supplied as needed (** Note in the winter we hand deliver warm water to the horses).
- Small group turnouts near the stable in the winter and in the summer months (usually from mid May - September) horses are on grass grazing pastures.
- Recovery "playpen" available for injured horses.
- Large run in shelters for horses on pasture board.
STABLE:

Completely renovated, cosy 7 box stall & 3 pony stalls(standing stall) stable. Experienced barn owner's prime focus is the horses' care and is on site full time.

Bright, airy 12 x 12 box stalls with compressed stone dust (to ensure proper drainage) and thick rubber stall mats covered with wood shavings.

Floor to ceiling tack lockers.

Microwave and fridge for your convenience.

Hot and cold running water in tack room.

Horses are fed Blue Seal Sunshine Plus (vit. supplement) at no additional charge and up to 4 feedings per day are available
-
John Edwards (Steve Morris) farrier visits the facility regularly.

Forest Lane Horse Farm deals with OVLAC - Dr. Larry Butler and and for "repro." work Dr. Gus Stringel from Merrickville.

FACILITIES:

Professionally tiled, levelled and sanded, large training/riding area (approx. 200x500) with schooling jumps & dressage letters available for 20x60 ring

 Get away from the summer heat, or enjoy freshly fallen snow or crisp fall days on our series of hacking trails at the back of the property.

NOTE: All horses entering onto Forest Lane Horse Farm property are required to have proof of insurance (for handler and owner) as well as proof of recent innoculations and worming.
Should your horse be coming from a farm/stable that has had strangles a negative nasal swab will be required before entry is granted onto the property.
Boarding application to be filled before a horse will be considered - references are required for handler(s) and horse(s). Formal boarding agreements, waivers, and horse information forms to be completed before boarding. A deposit of $50 is required to hold your spot (this is applied to your first month's board).
Forest Lane Horse Farm for safety reasons does not accept horses with active clinical signs of EPM/neurological disorders, clinical signs of HYPP,wobblers, etc.
